UAE e-invoicing compliance
Odoo e-Invoicing for the UAE
The UAE e-invoicing mandate starts on 1 January 2027 for businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more. We make Odoo issue and receive compliant PINT AE e-invoices through your Accredited Service Provider (ASP), without changing how your team invoices.
- PINT AE-ready invoices from Odoo
- Connected to your FTA-accredited ASP
- Phase 1 and Phase 2 deadlines covered
Overview
What UAE e-invoicing means for Odoo users
From 2027, UAE businesses must issue and receive B2B and B2G invoices as structured electronic data, not PDFs. The data is exchanged through FTA-accredited service providers (ASPs) on the Peppol network.
For Odoo users, every customer invoice and credit note must carry the PINT AE data set (51 mandatory fields for a tax invoice), go out through your ASP, and have its delivery status tracked back in Odoo. Odoo Prime prepares your Odoo database, connects it to your ASP and tests the full flow well before your deadline.

How it works
The 5-corner model with Odoo
- 1. You post the invoice in Odoo as usual
- 2. Odoo sends the PINT AE data to your ASP
- 3. Your ASP validates it and sends it over Peppol
- 4. Your buyer’s ASP delivers it to the buyer
- 5. Tax data is reported to the FTA
- Delivery status and errors flow back into Odoo

FAQ
Odoo UAE e-invoicing: frequently asked questions
Who has to comply with UAE e-invoicing?
Businesses in the UAE that issue B2B and B2G invoices, phased by annual revenue. B2C invoices are out of scope for now. Some activities are excluded, such as sovereign government activities, international air passenger and goods transport, and certain exempt or zero-rated financial services.
Can Odoo send e-invoices directly to the FTA?
No. Under the UAE 5-corner model, e-invoices go through an FTA-accredited service provider (ASP). Odoo creates the structured invoice data and connects to your ASP, which exchanges it over Peppol and reports to the FTA.
Do we still send PDF invoices?
A PDF on its own is not an e-invoice under the new rules. The structured PINT AE file exchanged through the ASPs is. Odoo can still email a PDF copy to customers for convenience.
We have already chosen an ASP. Can you work with it?
Yes. We connect Odoo to your chosen ASP. If you have not appointed one yet, we help you compare options and get onboarded before your deadline.
Which Odoo versions do you support?
We work with Odoo Community and Enterprise. If you are on an older version, we assess whether an upgrade or a custom connector is the better route.
How long does it take?
It depends on invoice volume, the number of companies and your customisations. We confirm a timeline after the readiness assessment and plan it around your phase deadline.
What happens if we miss the deadline?
Penalties include AED 5,000 per month for not having e-invoicing in place and AED 100 per invoice not issued correctly (capped at AED 5,000 per month). Starting early leaves time for testing.
